Cutest Lucia Ever

Today we celebrated Lucia. 

Early this morning when it was still dark outside 

they came singing the lucia songs. 

First was Walrus who was Saint Lucia, shortly after Penguin and Squirrel as "stjärngossar" star boy (that's when you get to where the silly hat with a star on the top), followed by two gingerbreads Bunny and Escargot and last but not least the two Polar bear dressed up as a christmas tree and santa. 

How cute isn't that!

Forever Friends in Pastel Rain

Escargot or Snail is one of our oldest friend, he's actually Little Its second friend and still one of the closest. 

But this time a little different, do you like it?

I Love Turtles

Back in Paris we have a small turtle that we really like, 

it's not a real turtle it's a turtle mad out of porcelain but we still like it very much. 

Since no real or porcelain turtles could come to Tokyo it's nice to have these to look at and it's actually Boo, the turtle we have at home, who was "modeling" for this illustration:)

Childhood Memories

We love Autumn and this is a favourite of mine 

with the walrus in an autumn leaf rain, because it reminds me of my childhood, playing around in big piles of colorful leafs. 

This year it's a little different because we're spending Autumn in Tokyo and the weather is still very warm an nice here so I guess we just have to wait a little longer before the leafs start changing colour.

I don't think I showed you this one before, I really like it and I hope that the little boy named Eliot like it too.

How To Create Nice And Almost Free Pen Storage.

Old tomato cans in new clothes

Here's the tutorial for yesterday's craft. 

The first thing you need to do is to make sure there is 

no sharp edges inside the cans! 

I used origami paper but you can use any paper that you like, why not from a newspaper or magazine. 

1. Pick some nice colors or paper that you think will look good together. Measure up stripes and cut if out. I ended up doing different sizes because I think that looks nice but if you want all of them the same size go for it, there's no rules. But I thought it was easy to with 1 cm, 1,5 cm, 2 cm and 2,5 cm and mix them. 

2. Glue the stripes to the can, I didn't put glue on all of it just the start and end. If you what to change if later it's easy to remove it. 

3. Now you done! Start filling your cans up with nice things.

Tomatoes (can) New Clothes

More easy and fun crafts for kids. 

Good thing is to use things that you would otherwise just trough out like these tomato cans that becomes cute penn holders or what ever you like to store in them. But remember to make sure there isn't any sharp edges inside the can that could hurt you.

How to create the Little It & friends Mini City

The Little It & friends Mini City, so easy, fun and very cute! 

Here's some instructions for creating your Mini City

If you use graph paper it's easier for your kids to draw windows and to follow the lines for the roof. For my city I used two paper rolls and cutting one of them i two to create three houses. 

1. Measure up the paper for your houses. Draw the shape for the windows.  

2. Start with the lightest color first, as yellow for the windows. Finish with black or the darkest one and let it dry.

3. Glue the paper on to the paper roll. 

4. Now you need a coffee mug or something round to create a round circle for the roof. Measure up where's the middle and cut half way through the circle to create a cone. Paint it (not too dark then you won't be able to se the lines)then glue to make the cone form. Mark the graph paper lines to make it look like a roof. Glue it to the house and your Mini City is done!
